While it’s not one of the projects our team is going to tackle in the near future, one of the things that we’ll eventually do is create a slot car table combined with a train set… in addition to a small pond with a mini RC boat. Perhaps there might even be a tiny airport thrown in there. If the concept has inspired you to do the same, great! So our slot car table will not be using fuel powered cars. That’s a tall order. Some of us weren’t even aware that fuel powered cars even existed until recently. Here is a very old, but informative video on the introduction of fuel powered slot cars.
Impressive stuff. These 1/16th scale slot cars look much heavier than the slot cars of today, although they don’t seem to have the speed of modern slot cars. Nonetheless, these are pretty cool, and we wouldn’t mind having a few in our collections.
